Putting Urmston on the map!
The HairBank has transformed from a small salon on Church Road to expand to a double fronted building on Station Road that used to be the HSBC Bank.
We have won many awards including North western hairdressers of the year, Manchester best salon and been given a 5* rating by The Good Salon guide.
The Salon
We are a specialist salon in colour cutting and hair extensions with a record number of Master degrees within the salon and affiliated to the Fellowship of British Hairdressers and The National hairdressing Federation.
A Colour Master Specialist degree is an industry benchmark for hair colouring at the highest level. It gives each Master the complete understanding of hair structure and chemistry, consultation, colour correction and formulation. With this knowledge they understand how colour will work on and within the hair, working with natural and pre treated pigments to keep you hair integrity and to create beautiful shiny results.
This degree can only be gained after working as a colourist with years of prior training and experience.
A Cutting Master Specialist degree is obtained after an in-depth higher level of discipline and precision cutting & crafting individual haircuts. Bespoke style’s to suit face shapes, hair colour & lifestyle. This is can only be achieved after years of training and focusing on the finer points of hair and its limit’s.

We specialise in Red carpet & Bridal hair plus we offer bespoke tailored wedding packages.
The Little Princess Trust
We also are proud to work alongside the charity, The Little Princess Trust fitting and cutting wigs for children and young adults with cancer.
The Hairbank History
The Hairbank has been one of Urmston’s longest standing salons, established in 1982. Being a passionate family run business, the salon is
known for providing a high level of service, a specialist skill set and above all a friendly relaxed professional atmosphere that gets involved with the local community all year round. Recently introducing mindfulness, wellbeing and nature into the salon creates a sanctuary for us and our clients and definitely sets us apart from the rest.Our ethos has always been focused on training, education and dedication to deliver the continued amazing results for our clients. We put our efforts into finding and nurturing the best dynamic and highly qualified team within the Northwest who all stand out in their own way, which allows you to find your perfect stylist or stylists within our salon.It’s been an incredible journey since we opened the Hairbank’s doors on Station Road in Urmston. Transformed from a old, leaky, derelict bank, into our beautiful spacious 5* Good Salon Guide rated Award Winning Hair salon. What we have achieved in such a short space of time is mind blowing to say the least, and are now recognised in our industry from all over the UK.
This alone shows the dedication our extremely close knit team do together and the support we have from our clients is magnificent.
Training is at the heart of the Hairbank and we are proud to have Matrix Colour and Cutting Mastery Degrees within the team. We offer specialist and professional advice and care for your hair, as well as being certified specialist in Hair Extensions. Our stylists have been involved in our industry Fellowship of British Hairdressing programmes, The Fame Team and Colour Project. We have been recognised by Trafford College with an award to outstanding contribution to training in our hairdressing industry.
